Identification notes

The countershaft bushing belongs in the drive housing. The eccentric bushing, upper and lower head bushings, and thrust components occupy different positions. Describe the position as well as the reference when several bushings appear on one repair list.

For the drive, distinguish countershaft 1068633366 from housing 7023408201 and cover 7035912253. Pinion 1036833868 should be identified alongside the mating gear and the installed countershaft arrangement. These are separate order positions; listing them together does not establish an interchangeable set.

Compare the requested scope

Head assembly 7090058000 and gear and eccentric assembly 7090228208 need an agreed component list. State which bushings and support parts are required and ask for exclusions to be shown. A head assembly enquiry should also make clear whether a mantle is required.

Upper head bushing 7015656200 and lower head bushing 1022145975 have different positions. Head ball 7024950500 and socket liner 7035800600 are separate parts of the spherical support. For a repair involving these components, send the existing references and identify the mating surfaces for review.

What should the quotation include?

Ask for each included component to appear on the quotation. Confirm seals, fasteners and other neighbouring parts separately when they are needed. Material requirements, inspection documents, packing and the dispatch schedule should be agreed for the actual order.

Selecting bushings, shafts and head parts for a rebuild

Rebuild parts fail on identification more often than on price. Two bushings in the same machine can share a similar shape but sit in different positions — drive, eccentric and head — with different mating surfaces. For each line on a repair list, record the position in words, the complete reference exactly as it appears in your records, and the quantity. Where a suffix, hyphen or leading zero differs, keep it; small differences can separate otherwise similar parts.

Materials, machining and fit

Bushings, shafts and spherical support parts depend on correct material, surface condition and machined dimensions. Ask, for the actual order, which material applies to each part, which mating faces are machined, and which dimensions or clearances will be inspected and recorded. On arrival, compare the markings and agreed dimensions against the quotation before the machine is opened up, and keep that record with the maintenance file so a repeat order starts from an accepted part.

Wear, life and what to watch

These are support and drive components rather than crushing surfaces, so their service life follows lubrication, alignment, condition of the mating parts and the state of seals and thrust surfaces. Replacing one worn component against a worn mate can shorten the life of both. Note what the inspection found — scoring, clearance change, overheating marks — and share it with the enquiry; it helps the supplier flag related positions that should be checked in the same shutdown.

Delivery and order quantity — general notes

Lead time depends on whether the part is cast, forged or mainly machined, and on the agreed inspection and packing. There is no single minimum quantity across these parts: a single repair piece and a planned stock order are quoted on their own basis. Send the list early where a shutdown date is fixed, and have the supply scope, exclusions and dispatch arrangement confirmed in writing.
